SCHOOL TIMES

• Morning session: 08.55-12.15
• Fruit & Water break: 10.05-10.15
• Morning playtime: 10.50-11.05
• Lunchtime: 12.15-13.15
• Afternoon session: 13.15-15.15
• Afternoon playtime (infant classes only): 14.30-14.45

Children should arrive at school by 08.55 when the whistle is blown for the morning session, but should not arrive earlier than 08.45, as we cannot accept responsibility for them prior to that time. The register is taken at 08.55 and closed at 09.05, after which time children will be recorded as late.

The school site is locked from 09.15-14.45 each day. During this time, access is by the main door only. There is no adult supervision after 15.30, but older children may use the site for play as long as they act responsibly and respectfully. Parents are responsible for supervising their children using play equipment outside school hours.

Children should not cycle unaccompanied to school unless they have passed the Safer Cycling course and not below the age of ten.

The school runs a Breakfast Club for a limited number of children. Enquiries should be made to the school office.

ASSEMBLIES

An assembly takes place every day, sometimes for the whole school and sometimes for the Unit groups. Parents and friends are invited to join our Friday Community Assembly, which is led by a class.

SCHOOL MEALS

The school has its own kitchen and provides an excellent variety of meals daily. Menus are posted near the school office. We also have space for children to sit together to have a packed lunch, if you prefer this option. Please remember to pack a non-fizzy drink as well as food.

If your child stays for school lunch and is likely to be late to school for any reason, please telephone the school office by 10.30 a.m. to order a meal for him/her. Meals cannot be ordered after this time.
